spigot: putting 9gag watermarks on holocaust photos
deuce: 1. to handle things I just turned all the bytes to strs as they come in; with UTF-8, it's possible that a UTF-8 Unicode code point will get split up across two chunks and so the conversion will fail, but that would be exceptionally rare so won't interfere with progress for now;
deuce: 2. I noticed that some text you were using with accents (cafe) wasn't showing up correctly in a telnet session (it was getting a bad Unicode symbol meaning it's the wrong encoding), but I didn't investigate; it's possible that you're using Latin-1 instead of UTF-8 (but I didn't check)
